Most of the pictures above are not current. The photo of Puckles Pond was taken before the pond-dipping platform was built. The summer water levels in all the ponds in the Reserve dropped considerably between 2004 and 2009, but are now full again (2010). [If they were to dry up completely, BDC Countryside Services are committed to digging new ponds in order to provide habitats for the many aquatic and semi-aquatic species living in and visiting the Reserve.] |
